Precaution for Amarnath Yatra
Often referred to as the destructor, Lord Shiva is a part of holy trinity. He is a great yogi but as the destroyer and mendicant he is indescribable.
Every year thousands of pilgrims visit Amarnath cave which is situated in a glacial valley at 13,700ft in Kashmir. This cave is around 90 feet long and 150 feet high. Its climatic conditions are always doubtful. Snowfall and rain appears any time at any place during the Yatra. It has been noticed that abrupt changes in climate might occur. Sunny weather might convert into rain or snow fall in a short period of time…
Hence it becomes very important that certain precautions are taken before going to Amarnath. Following are few of them:-
* One should be physically fit otherwise you should never go for Amarnath yatra.
* Each pilgrim, before starting Amarnath yatra has to be registered with government.
* You should always carry adequate warm clothes.
* Before starting trek, acclimatize yourself because altitude can cause breathing problems.
* You should always carry nourished food like chocolates, dry fruits etc to consume during the journey.
* Always wear comfortable clothes, shoes and carry a walking stick, torch, raincoat, first aid kit and windcheater.
* Sufficient money to pay for additional needs.
* Pay attention to warning sign that are written about the falling of rocks and travel with only experienced guide.
