They both are way way apart,though you would not have to walk to much in Badrinath(Buses and cabs goes till temple doors) but Amarnath is a different game all together with long distance to cover by road and a long long trek I suggest you either go to Amarnath Or opt for Hardwar,Rishikesh,Badrinath, Kedarnath,Yamnotri,Gangotri route which is all in Uttranchal. Good tourist buses are available from delhi and Hardwar who will take you to all the place in one go say 7-10 days tour best time would be in summers May and june.
